Presley Campbell, VTA
Presley is a graduate of Sauk Prairie High School and has been passionate about animals her entire life. She grew up around all different types of animals, from dogs to donkeys, and thanks to her mom, Presley has been volunteering with various rescues for over 10 years. Presley is especially interested in animal welfare and dog training and behavior. Her cat Luci was rescued from the streets and has shared her home ever since.
When not at work, you can find Presley testing her luck with the old rod and reel on a lake, or baking something sweet in the kitchen. Presley can't wait to meet your furry family members and care for them like her own.
Sophie Weck, VTA
Sophie graduated from Earlham College in Indiana with a BA in Biology in 2018 and is currently enrolled at MATC working towards her Veterinary Technician degree. She has been working at the clinic since moving to Waunakee in 2019. She first gained a passion for animals at a young age on her family's small hobby farm in Southern Illinois where she cared for horses, chickens, goats, llamas, and pets of all sizes. Before moving to Wisconsin, Sophie worked as a horseback trail guide in Alaska and as a large animal ICU technician in Tennessee. She now lives in Waunakee with her boyfriend and fosters dogs through Underdog Pet Rescue. In her free time Sophie enjoys horseback riding, hiking, baking, and reading.
Nick Prosek, VTA
Nick currently attends Lodi High School and after graduation plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for Animal Science. He joined Waunakee Vet Clinic in December 2020. Nick lives in Lodi with his chocolate lab Stella, his cat Sunny, Eddie an Anole lizard and Cinnamon his guinea pig. He enjoys hanging with his friends, hiking, music, showing dairy cattle and going on adventures.
Martine Moran, VTA
Martine has been a client of Waunakee Veterinary Clinic since she moved to Waunakee in 2008, and has recently joined the team as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. She currently has three dachshunds; Remy, Lola, and Hans; and a hospice Chihuahua named Baby Bird Trixie that she drove all the way to Ramona, California, to adopt in October of 2020.
Long, long ago, Martine was a Certified Veterinary Technician, working in a surgical practice in Florida. Later, she was an RN, working in cardiac cath and electrophysiology labs here in Madison, in Bellingham, Washington, and in Philadelphia, finally returning to the Madison area in 2008.
Martine loves all animals (although her fear of bats has occasionally kept her out of her basement for weeks at a time) and is a squirrel foster for Wisconsin Wild Care. She has a special place in her heart for blind and deaf dachshunds, and senior pets in general. Her other loves include riding her BMW motorcycle and anything related to general aviation. Her hobbies include camping with her dogs, riding her e-bike to pull the pups in their own bike trailer (and getting lots of smiles and a few laughs from passers-by), and working out inconsistently.
Martine is thrilled to be back in scrubs and working with a caring and dedicated (and fun!) team at the clinic.
